Nancy's Tip of the Month A seam sealant like Fray Check is a must to seal all serger thread tails or edges. If squeezed directly to the fabric, you may get more than you bargained for. Apply the sealant to a Q-tip and then dab your fabric for greater control.

Finding a needle in or out of a haystack!

You sit down at your sewing machine, ready to start a new project. Fabric? Check. Thread? Check. Correct presser foot? Check. New needle? Umm…

 I know they’re here somewhere… Here they are! No, those are Jeans needles, and I need Ballpoint. Maybe I can just use this one… Eek! Nope – it’s definitely too big for this t-shirt knit. Argh! Where did I put them!! And suddenly your relaxing afternoon of sewing turns into a frustrating search for a tiny package of needles.

That doesn’t happen to me (much) any more. I keep all my needles in a big plastic box. I’ve even labeled the sections!

BABY WATCH

Yes in fact we are on baby watch!

Our Cooper and Chelsey are expecting our first grand baby any time now!

It's hard to concentrate on work or let alone anything else for that matter.

I had to sew something to keep me busy soooo...

Gathered a bunch of different ribbons.

All patterns and sizes are fun to include.

Cut them about 2 inches long and folded them in half.

                                                                     

Took Minkey fabric and sewed the folded ribbon to it.

I made mine just about a 12 inch square.

Sewed the two pieces on Minkey together, turned right side out and topstitched.

Ok baby we are ready for you!
